UBC Track & Field is inviting the UBC surrounding community to attend this special event!
The UBC Pre-Jerome is an international track and field meet, being held at UBC, featuring top athletes from around the world.
Familes: bring your kids out to be inspired by our very own Olympians!
LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS-BOUND UBC TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES:
- INAKI GOMEZ: will compete in the men's 20 km race walk in London -- will be in attendance at the UBC Pre-Jerome
- MIKE MASON: will compete in the men's high jump in London
- LIZ GLEADLE: will compete in the women's javelin in London
This is an exclusive chance to meet and find out more about our UBC Track & Field London 2012 Olympians all at once!
There will be short interviews, as well as photograph and autograph opportunities for all.
The meet will be officially opened with an honourary shot of the starting pistol by Inaki Gomez, symbolizing that UBC athletes are ready for the Games.
