The women's 800 m meet record of 2:03.23 could be in jeopardy with Austin Track Club's Lea Wallace, who ran 2:02.15 to finish third at the Harry Jerome Intl last year, and former University of Iowa Hawkeye Bethany Praska, who owns a PB of 2:03.74, toeing the line.

A rabbit will lead the runners through 500 m, passing 400 m in 58-59 seconds.

Wallace, formerly of Sacremento State University, represented the USA in the Pan-Am Games last year, and earned All-American honours in the 800 m and 1,500 m at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Praska, a 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships All-American in the 800 m and Olympic hopeful, ran her PB in Belgium last summer, and has continued to train in Iowa City this year as a post-collegiate.

Another one to watch is Laura Hagans, a former Baylor collegiate, who also runs the 1,500 m - 4:11.01 at the Jerome last year - and who's entered at 2:04.98.

First year UBC Thunderbird Devan Wiebe, who competes at the NAIA Championships next week, is likely to try for the IAAF World Junior Championships standard in the 800 m of 2:09.10.

Also, Jennifer Burke of Mountain West Track Club is entered at 2:15.50.
